New Initiatives :

a) Modular Employable Skills Training under SDIS:

- The Bureau has started Training Programme on 02.08.2013 in coordination of Swetha Solutions, Visakhapatnam with a registered VTP No.528130049 and duly permitted by the University Authorities. The Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor, Andhra University, Visakhapatnam inaugurated the first training program under MES scheme.

- So far, 1050 number of students were registered for different MES Modules/Sectors.

Career Guidance to School Students:

Proposed Digital awareness Training program:

Andhra University is planning to organise Digital awarenesstraining program under  National Digital Literacy Mission (NDLM) in collaboration with Learning Tree at A.U.E.I&G.B. This program is aimed at making one person from each family digitally literate and impart expertise in using Smart phone,Tab,Lap Top and Internet as a part of  Govt. of India programme “ DIGITAL INDIA”.

This program is highly helpful to the University students & Employees who hails from rural areas.

Placement activities:

The Bureau has conducted the job melas for the benefit of the job seekers. Bureau also associated with the job melas conducted by the District Employment Exchanges, Visakhapatnam. The details are as follow:

Advisory Committee:-

1. There will be an Advisory Committee nominated by the Vice Chancellor, consisting of 12 to 15 members and including the other representatives of different faculties, the Commissioner of Employment and Training, A.P., Hyderabad, Director General of Employment and Training, Govt. Of India and the State representatives and the Employers.

2. The Chief of the UEI&GB, AU, Visakhapatnam will function as the Secretary of the Advisory Committee.

3. The functions of Advisory Committee as follows:

            i. Appraising the action taken on the minutes of previous meetings.
           ii. Appraising the report of the work done by the Bureau.
           iii. Proposing new initiatives to be taken up by the Bureau for the benefit of the Educated Youth.
           iv. Proposing Extension of Activities of Bureau like:
           - Arranging Career Conferences,
            - Arranging Career Talks,
            - Arranging Coaching Classes for preparing students for Competitive Examinations,
            - Conducting Campus Recruitment Programme
            - Conducting Mock Interview Sessions
            - Offering Self Employment Programme and Talks
            - Conducting Psychological testing of candidates for imparting Vocational Guidance etc.,
