The Sisters of St.Ann is a Congregation dedicated to the cause of Women's education. The Sisterhood was started in Turin (Italy) in 1834 by a noble Marquis Carios and Marchioness Julia of Borola and consolidated by Sister Enrichetta Dominici. The desire to share God's love with the poor and under privileged children led to the starting of the first school for girls in Hyderabad in 1871. Later, when the parents of Eluru pleaded for school for girls, the Sisters started St.Theresa's High School in Eluru in 1938. The Public demand led to the foundation of the College in 1953.
