Prof. P. Sunitha

Prof. P. Sunitha, with a Master's degree in Meteorology and Oceanography, an M.Tech in Atmospheric Sciences, and a PhD in Meteorology, boasts a stellar academic journey. With over 20 years of teaching experience, she imparts her expertise in subjects like climate change and extreme weather events to students pursuing M.Sc and M.Tech courses at the Department of Meteorology and Oceanography. Dr. Sunitha's research focus spans climate change-related extreme weather events and Indian monsoons, resulting in 32 research publications in peer-reviewed journals and active participation in 84 national and international conferences. She has guided 12 Ph.D, 84 M.Sc & 14 M.Tech students and executed several research projects from International and National namely Asia pacific Network Japan, Department of Science and Technology and several counsultancy works from ADANI gangavaram port private limited and Andhra Pradesh Pollution control Board. Her academic excellence has earned her numerous awards, highlighting her unwavering commitment to education and research. In addition to her academic roles, she holds positions as an Executive Member of Andhra University, the Focal Point for CSSTEAP, SAC, ISRO in Ahmedabad, Nodal Officer of NIDM, MHRD, New Delhi, and Head of the Department of Meteorology and Oceanography. Dr. Sunitha actively contributes to meteorological working groups at national and international levels and is associated with esteemed organizations like the American Meteorological Society and the Indian Science Congress.

Prof. K. Sita Manikyam
Additional Dean, Student Affairs

Prof. K. Sita Manikyam is a highly accomplished academic with qualifications including an M.A., M.L., Ph.D., and LL.D., currently serving as a Professor of Law at Dr. B. Ambedkar College of Law, Andhra University. Her academic journey includes a Post-Doctoral in Law focusing on the role of the judicial process on Article 21 of the Indian Constitution. She has guided numerous dissertations and projects, resulting in numerous awarded Ph.D.s. She is a global ambassador of legal knowledge, having delivered lectures in Poland and served as a judge in the Asia Pacific Rounds of Manfred Lachs Space Law Moot Court Competitions. Her research initiatives have been supported by significant projects, and she has made notable contributions in policy-making and received prestigious awards. On the other hand, an individual with an extensive administrative background, this person has held various positions at Andhra University and beyond. They have been an editorial board member for prominent journals, a life member of various organizations, and have actively engaged in academic and administrative roles at the university. Her community service efforts, including delivering lectures on social justice and women empowerment, demonstrate her commitment to societal betterment.

Dr. A. Krishnamanjari Pawar
Associate Dean, Student Affairs

Dr. A. Krishnamanjari Pawar, an Associate Professor at A.U College of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Andhra University, with 16 years of teaching experience, is a beacon of academic and research excellence. Her research spans impurity profiling of drugs, toxicological studies, and the application of AQbD, DoE, IoT, and AI in pharmaceuticals.

Dr. Pawar boasts 61 research articles, has guided 15 Ph.D. scholars and 60 M.Pharm students, and successfully completed major and minor research projects funded by agencies like DST-SERB, AICTE-RPS, and UGC. Notably, she was the sole Indian participant in the 2022 International Visitor Leadership Program sponsored by the U.S. Department of State. Her outstanding contributions have earned her numerous awards, solidifying her as a visionary in the field of pharmaceutical education and research.

Dr. Solomon Benny
Associate Dean, Student Affairs

Dr. N. Solomon Benny, is the Head and an Assistant Professor of English, Department of English, Andhra University. He masters in Zoology, Education, English and a Doctoral Degree in English from Andhra University. He has fifteen research papers published in International Journals and twenty paper presentations in Seminars and Conferences to his credentials. He has been Assistant Principal of College of Arts & Commerce for four years and a Warden for College of Arts & Commerce Hostel.

He is a member in numerous committees of Andhra University as well as Board of Studies for different Universities, Engineering Colleges and Degree Colleges. He has Guided three research Scholars for Ph. D degrees and one M. Phil scholar and guiding four more Ph. D scholars.
