Olympic players for participation in the Para Badminton (M & W) and Para Athletic (Men & Women)

Championship held at Hyderabad and New Delhi respectively. The Para Olympic athletes and
Badminton players won good number of Gold, Silver and Bronze medals.

3. National Service Scheme (NSS) Activities of Andhra University.
During the year 2018-19 the NSS Cell of Andhra University was involved in 46 activities.

Special Campaigning Programmes in the university during the year 2018-19.
About 179 NSS Special Camps were organized during the year 2018-19.

1. Plantation About 1,42,156 saplings were planted by the NSS volunteers.

2. Blood Donation About 14,000 Units of Blood Donated by the NSS volunteers
and other students under the Jurisdiction of Andhra
University.
3. Pulse Polio Immunization About 56,420 children were administered Pulse Polio
Programme vaccine.

4. Road Formation and Nearly 26 km of Road repaired by all the NSS volunteers of
Repair Andhra University jurisdiction.
5. HIV/AIDS Programme About 284 HIV/AIDS awareness programmes were
conducted, and nearly 39,100 people benefited through this
awareness programme.
6. Water Harvesting Pits In the Special Camping programmes, 279 water harvesting
pits were dug by the volunteers.
