The School of Distance Education

started functioning on 1 July,
1972, by introducing B.A., and
B.Com., Degree courses with the

approval of the U.G.C. The
School is one of the oldest in the
Country. The School successfully
organized Phone-in-Live

programme by Gyan Vani an FM
Radio station, to clarify the
doubts of the students both

academic as well as administrative on 2 and 4 Friday’s of every month.
The School of Distance Education was given ex-post facto recognition by the Distance Education Council,
New Delhi, for all the courses that are being offered by the School of Distance Education w.e.f. 1995
based on the recommendation of a committee of members from AICTE, UGC and DEC.
